TPC meeting, CERN, 7-8 October 2003Børge Svane Nielsen, NBI2 Rod gluing and installation 1.Drill holes in short rods: done 2.Mount mirror bundles in support rings: done 3.Glue mirror support rings onto short rods: done 4. Glue short rods into full length rods at CERN. Scheduled to commence 20 October. alignment fixed during gluing, using green laser 5.Angle measurements on final rod possible in lab at CERN before installation, using same green laser 6.Angle measurements possible again during rod installation in field cage, using same green laser 7.Re-measurements with TPC in final orientation

TPC meeting, CERN, 7-8 October 2003Børge Svane Nielsen, NBI6 Green laser assembly Green laser has been fitted with telescope to produce 20 mm beam will be used for full length rod gluing and (with 90 prism) for installation of rods in FC should be used again to re-measure angles with horizontal TPC TPC end plate

TPC meeting, CERN, 7-8 October 2003Børge Svane Nielsen, NBI7 Other on-going activities Quartz components for end-plates and laser hut ordered: Delivery has started of 22 prisms of 2 types, 28 beam splitters of 4 different specs, 10 mirrors of 2 types, 45 windows of 2 types. Testing started Ray has progressed on the placement of the laser hut Design in progress on opto-mechanical supports on end-plates 3d CAD drawings of TPC end plates being made for clarity DCS: laser remote control: RS-232 3-axis adjusters control: Ethernet or RS-232 cameras: USB to PC downstairs, as ITS alignment discussing collaboration with M.Cherney / Creighton U.
