3. In general Turkey is a big country and it needs huge sum of energy. Turkey uses different kinds of energy sources. In recent years renewable energy sources became an important matter for Turkey. It is the same for Akhisar. Akhisar produces and uses wind energy actively.

4. WIND ENERGY We use wind energy in Akhisar. Some big companies run their own wind turbine. And our government supports the use of wind energy in Turkey.

5. Wind energy is a new concept in Turkey. The studies on wind energy started in 1995. After 2001 our government legislated some rules. With these legislations first wind turbines were built in Bandırma, Çeşme, Hatay, Manisa, Çanakkale.
