CHEMISTRY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF CANADA Current Key Environmental Issues Climate Change –Alberta policy direction will be defined by the new premier – status quo AQMS – we are avoiding reg/reporting duplication Sept 19 meeting of CIAC members with AESRD ADM Shannon Flint to discuss these issues Toxics Legislation On the back burner, lurking in the background Chemical Elimination Substitution Reduction is RC Chemicals Management is our message But if this is health and safety focus, no fed interest; becomes a non-issue

NPS inclusion is important for cumulative effects considerations
