Writing Time You are going to spend most of the rest of class drafting your memoir, with the exception of about 20 minutes of reading time. Draft as much as you can. You need to make sure you develop the plot. Develop the conflict in the rising action and climax. Begin to resolve the conflict in the falling action.

Reading Time Begin reading the memoir (book) that was checked out to you yesterday. As you read, use a sticky note to mark at least 3 places in the text where the author uses a vivid description. On the sticky note, write “5 senses” if the author uses the 5 senses in the description. Or, write “figurative language” if the author uses simile, metaphor, hyperbole, personification, etc. You will share the passages you marked with your sticky notes with your literature circle group on Monday.
