Remember that for three years I never stopped warning (admonishing) each of you night and day with tears... 36 When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed. 37 They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him. 38 What grieved them most was his statement that they would never see his face again.

Must commit yourself to long-haul investment in people for the sake of the Gospel  28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend  To fight for people, you will often have to fight them…  Your end goal is full maturity in Christ  This will take lots of strenuous work, study, prayer, time, etc.
