2 Protagonist (noun) Protagonist means the main character a story. In the series of Percy Jackson books, Percy Jackson is the protagonist.

3 Antagonist (noun) Antagonist means the character or force in conflict with the protagonist. Luke is the antagonist because he became the friend of the Titans and conquered the camp half blood.

4 Flat Character (noun) A Flat Character is a character that you do not know well. Leo is the flat character of the book Stargirl.

5 Round Character (noun) A round character is a character that you know a lot about. Peeta is the round character of the movie The Hunger Games.

6 Static Character (noun) A static character is a character who stays the same throughout the story. Scar is the static character in the Lion King.

7 Dynamic Character (noun) A dynamic character is a character who undergoes on important inner change such as change in beliefs, personality, or attitude. Simba is the dynamic character in the Lion King.

8 Sympathetic Character A sympathetic character is a character whose situation you understand, sympathize with, or can relate to. Greg is the Sympathetic character in Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

9 Minor Character A minor character is a character mentioned only briefly (less than a flat character). Rosie the dog is the minor character in the book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
