3 He visited Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza, where he gave lectures at the most important institutions and came into contact with the most important scientists and intellectuals at the time.

4 Activities Lectures on the restricted and general relativity. Meeting with members of the Society of Mathematics and the Nobel Prize Ramón y Cajal King Alfonso XIII appoints him member of the Academy.

5 He is received by the King and Queen mother at the Royal Palace. Conference on the current problems of relativity at the Faculty of Sciences at the Central University of Barcelona. Appointed Doctor Honoris Causa by the Central University of Madrid. Conference at the Residencia de Estudiantes of Madrid. Visited the lab of Antonio Rodríguez Rocasolano.

8 History of the residence of Students It was founded in 1910 by The Board of Extended Studies and became the first cultural centre of Spain and the first to make artistic and scientific exchanges within Europa. Today it has regained the importance of the 1920s while keeping its role of accommodation, addressed to researchers, artists and creators in various fields and of various backgrounds. Among its residents emerged many of the most important figures of the Spanish culture of the twentieth century.

17 José Ortega y Gasset José Ortega y Gasset was one of the most important Spanish philosophers of the 20 th century.
