3. Definition of Bullying Unwanted deliberate negative action by another individual or group of individuals with intent to harm. May inflict harm or distress including physical, social, sexual, psychological, or educational harm on the targeted individual or group. Often includes an imbalance of power between individuals/groups.

4. Definition of Bullying Cyberbullying is bullying that happens through email, chat room, instant messaging, a website, text message or social media. Bullying may include, but is not limited to, verbal aggression, emotional attacks, sexual harassment, racial discrimination, physical aggression, isolating others or electronic harassment.

5. Any action that meets the criteria for bullying behavior is strictly prohibited!

6. Disciplinary Action May Include: A verbal warning An apology Dismissal from current and/or future activities Restoration of property Phone call/meeting with parents/guardians Expulsion from 4-H Criminal charges

7. Did You Know... Bullying can occur with 4-H’ers, leaders, volunteers and/or Extension staff. Any individual or group that witnesses bullying or knows bullying is occurring that does not report the incident is subject to disciplinary action.

8. Did You Know Continued... Disciplinary action will be taken against anyone who reports bullying as a joke. Any individual reporting bullying in good faith is protected from retaliation.
