Pyromania Is a deep desire for fire to start fires for relief, pleasure, and or gratification. This feeling for fire can grow overtime if it not treated. Different from a arsonist who may start fires for pursuit of personal, monetary or political gain, or the intent to inflict harm for advantage or revange.

Associated features Pyromania is a impulse control disorder The main interest of pyromaniacs are fire. Similar to a drug addict, they can restrain them self from fire they have strong and compelling urges for fire. Pyromaniacs many times have more then one disorder Ages can defer but it is usually take affect around a young age.

Associated features #2 Characteristics of pyromania Become tense or aroused on fire setting They are very fascinated without even engaged in setting fires but just watching others set fires Some like fire so much that they even find their self in firefighting work or even volunteering

Associated features#3 Examples of pyromania They have policy scanners wait to watch the fire They love to be in close range of large fires They find ways to set fires and watch and see the different thing that the fire does

Etiology There are few facts behind the etiology of pyromania People with low self-esteem, depression, communication problems and inability to control anger. We do know that kids form it at a young age Also many kids with pyromania, many of the times have more then one disorder We know that over time the relationship that is held with fire counties to intensify if not treated

prevalence pyromania is quite rare and most pyromaniacs are male(90%) But we know About 19% of struggle from pyromania Conduct Disorder, ADHD, or Adjustment Disorders.

prognosis The disorder can get worst if not treat Which would cause pyromaniacs to start large fires like forest fires and house fires But if treated many can break their relationship with fire and turn out Do to the fact that my people with pyromania are also victims of other disorders they are not fully well. But pyromania can be fully treated
