4. Who was St Ignatius of Loyola?

Ignatius of Loyola  Born a minor nobleman, Inigo Lopez, in 1491 in the Basque region of Spain  At 14 he was sent away to train as a royal page to the King of Spain  He was injured while defending Spain against the French at Pamplona  While recovering, he discovered the working of God in his life  He decided to devote his life completely to God  In 1540 he founded the Society of Jesus  He was canonized in 1622 by Pope Gregory XV

11. What are the next steps? Invitation  Make contact with the local CLC person in your State.  Discuss how you can have an experience of CLC.  After attending a number of meetings you will be asked to evaluate whether you wish to continue.  After a period of about 6 months, you will be asked whether you wish to join CLC.

12. Membership  If you decide to become a member of CLC, you will be asked to complete the membership form, attach your membership fee and send it into head office.  You will receive a membership kit and be welcomed into the Christian Life Community family.
