Technology makes reaching a goal faster. It helps shorten the length of time needed to complete a task and requires less work. Some pieces of technology are entertainment devices such as a television. Technology makes accessing information easier, more efficient and faster. Technology has changed our lives in critical ways.

Glasses give a clearer view to people who have trouble seeing. Glasses help with many sight problems such as double vision and lazy eye. Without glasses it’s difficult to see and to concentrate. People’s lives are made easier with glasses.

The telescope has given us a new view of our world and the universe. The telescope gave us a clearer image of far away objects through its lens. It gave us stunning images while providing useful information. Light hits the objective lens then gets magnified by the eye piece. Modern telescopes such as the Hubble Telescope redefined the universe. Outer space becomes alive and colorful through the lens of the telescope. The telescope magnifies worlds far away.

The microscope discovered a new world we couldn’t see. Objects under a microscope look sharper and more details come into view. Germs can be seen under a microscopes lens. Microscopes magnified our world, and gave us a better understanding of the environment around us.

Before the refrigerator was invented food spoiled easily. The fridge made food last longer. The gas in the refrigerator keeps food from spoiling. This saves people a lot of money. The refrigerator changed the way people preserved food.

Incandescent light bulbs light up our world. The incandescent light made making light faster, easier, and more efficient. To use something that you just need to flip a switch and light would come on was incredible back then, but now we take it for granted. The light bulb has provided us with a long lasting source of light.

The machine gun revolutionized the way wars are fought. It is more effective than any other fire arm. All the wars fought in the 20 th century were fought with machine guns. It is still used now, serving Americans in the Afghanistan War. Power. Accuracy. That’s the promise of the machine gun.

More than a hundred years ago, people dreamed of flight. That goal was accomplished when the Wright brothers invented the powered airplane. Airplanes are a faster way to get from one place to the other. People were astonished by the new invention. It left a great footprint in the advancement of transportation.

The web browser is necessary to access the WWW. The web is a place of entertainment, connection, and information. On the web people connect with one another through E-mail, Facebook, Skype, and other forms of social media. The web shows full color images and video with sound creating infinite possibilities. These aspects makes the web an entertainment and information source. The web is a portal to the world.

Google began as a powerful search engine. However it has transformed to an online center for work and entertainment. You can find images, maps, videos, news, music, and YouTube. You can also get g-mail with Google. You can find the world on Google!

Technology has changed how we live in the numerous ways. It has changed how we eat, sleep, travel, connect, and play. Even though technology has a lot of pros, it also has its fair share of cons. It has become a weapon. Something that can hurt us mentally and physically. Even though technology has changed the world in good ways it will always have a dark side. Still technology is a useful tool. It can save lives. Long ago mail was the only way to spread news. It was very slow. Now we have e-mail, texting, and a quicker postal service. That’s just one example of how technology has changed the lives of mankind. If not for technology we wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are now. In the future technology will be more portable and powerful. It’s going to be easier to use and energy efficient. It will transform our lives and influence every decision we make.
