1. to maximise the impact of the research we fund to explore new ideas that enable the Wellcome Trust to support our funded researchers, and work with other stakeholders, to maximise the uptake of research evidence into policy and practice to make research uptake an integral part of the work of the Trust and our currently funded researchers as well as new grants awarded to reflect, in a responsive way, the changing context and external debates (i.e. systematic reviews) that influence this agenda to achieve a clearer statement for grant holders on our approach and the support available – reflecting the Trust’s role as an enabler while promoting creativity amongst our grant holders. 2. Trust-funded researchers successfully engaging policy makers/practitioners (although largely without direct support from the Trust) eg.
