SSolution or Outcome is when the problem in the story is solved. For Example in the movie HOME ALONE, what is the Solution? SOLUTION: Kevin’s mom drives back to the house on Christmas Eve and finds him. The bad guys get arrested. The whole family comes back and is happy! Tough Smart Brave Clever He was smart enough to make traps to keep the bad guys out, he didn’t get scared when he knew they were in the house, he figured out ways to make things hard and painful for the bad guys. To INFER is to make an e ducated guess about something based on what you learned in a story and what you already know. Fill this in for HOME ALONE, or another story that you know: Kevin was left at home alone They didn’t even realize he was gone until they were at the airport People were not really paying attention to him Kevin survived for 3 days all alone before his family came home The Family was too far away and Kevin was a smart kid.
