2. Our Mission
Provide the early detection of logistics related problems that affect unit and materiel readiness; make logistical assessments in coordination with the supported commands to determine current status, historical trends, corrective and preventative measures for improving unit and command readiness; identification and correction of systemic problems.
Furnish command information and assistance for force modernization, including displaced materiel; and plan for LAP support of mobilization, hostilities, and other contingencies, improving customer support, enhancing Warfighter readiness, while eliminating redundancy.

3. Logistics Assistance Program (LAP)
The Logistics Assistance Program provides Combatant Commanders and the “Warfighters” with logistics, technical, and administrative support.
Governed by AR 700-4, AR and AMC-R
Trains soldiers (11,900 soldiers/30,000 hrs annually)

LAP personnel are trained and prepared to assist Combatant Commanders with seamless sustainment process in any and all contingency operations.
As equipment experts on over 5000 pieces of Army equipment, LAP personnel are able to provide invaluable technical advice and hands-on training to the Warfighter.
All LAP personnel are classified as Mandatory Mobile/Emergency Essential, meaning that they deploy as AMC’s civilian “Troops”, able to meet the needs of the Army’s Force Structure today and into the future.
Their organization, called the Logistics Support Element or LSE and Brigade Logistics Support Team (BLAST).
One of the most effective tools we bring to the battlefield is assured communications in the form of a multi media communication system. The MMCS provides secure & non-secure , internet, voice, and video conferencing down to the BCT level.
In SWA these deployed AMC assets currently cover the entire spectrum of AMC capabilities from armament, tank and wheeled vehicle experts to scientist and technology advisors.
