Technicians install and maintain products, providing a wide range of services: implementation of the design, testing, calibration and supervision of its operation

3. B ACHELOR VS. A SSOCIATE D EGREES Community colleges offer 2 year degrees because it is a difficult process to get a 4 year accredited BS program in engineering technology. BS programs require instructors with a higher level of experience and education, meaning a higher salary for graduates. First 2 years of BS program focuses on building skills. After that the focus is creative design.
