Crystal and Fantasy Caves Crystal Cave: The cave was founded in 1884, by the Wilkinson family who owned the property above the caves. There are crystal stalactites and stalagmites that hang from the ceiling of the caves and underneath them is water. The crystal formations are over 30 million years old. Fantasy Cave: The cave was also founded by the Wilkinson family. This cave is linked to the Crystal cave, so you can see both caves within a day. There are chandelier soda straw formations that hang from the ceiling, also with water underneath them. Both of the caves have passage ways that float on the surface of the underground lake, so people are allowed to walk down and see all the formations.
