3. Here’s the last part of a newspaper story: Neighbors called police when they noticed the pink gooey substance oozing from all the doors and windows of the home. Now write the first part of the story. Remember that a newspaper story starts out answering the questions who, what, when, where, why, and how. (share – did you all have the same beginning – no…problem solve differently)

4. Your main character needs to make a choice They can do one action(story line) or another. This story line can lead to more actions later on, or be a dead end in the plot. Here’s where the set up of your novel is going to get tricky. Once your character makes a choice, the plot needs to be on a separate page ie If you want to go into the forest in search of the magical beans, turn to page 6, If you want to go to the jungle in search of magical tree vines, turn to page 9.
