2 What does the word Beatitude mean? Do money, food, friends, games, electronics……give us sources of permanent happiness? What commands did God give us to follow that make us happy?

4 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4) “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me and I in him.“ (John 6:56)

10 Which Beatitude? (3) Matthew 18 – Jesus talked about the importance of this beatitude too. He told the story of a servant who owed his master a ton of money but he didn’t have enough to pay it. Instead of throwing him in prison or selling him as a slave, the master had compassion on the servant and set him free. But then that servant went to another servant and demanded money from him.

14 HOW CAN I BE MERCIFUL? I can think about others’ needs I can pray for those needs If I see someone in school who needs a friend or needs help, I can give it I can help my family around the house When someone hurts me or does something bad to me, I can walk in their shoes. I can try to see what it would be like if I was in their shoes and figure out why they acted that way.
