Jeremiah 20:7-18

As followers of God, we have permission to Grieve.

Sometimes following God involves Grief  Matthew 7:14  James 1:2-4

It takes Discipline to Remember that we follow a God of Hope  Jeremiah 20:9; 11-13  Job 13:15

There is a balm in Gilead to make the wounded whole There is a balm in Gilead to heal the sin-sick soul One of these mornings bright and fair, I’m gonna lay down my heavy load Gonna kick my wings and cleave the air, I’m gonna lay down my heavy load.

Oh freedom, oh freedom, oh freedom over me And before I'd be a slave I'll be buried in my grave And go home to my Lord and be free

Swing low, sweet chariot, Comin' for to carry me home! I looked over Jordan and what did I see, Comin' for to carry me home! A band of angels comin' after me, Comin' for to carry me home! If you get there before I do, Comin' for to carry me home, Jess tell my friends that I'm acomin' too, Comin' for to carry me home. I'm sometimes up and sometimes down, Comin' for to carry me home, But still my soul feels heavenly bound Comin' for to carry me home!

I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life.
