2 Personification This type of figurative language is called personification. It helps the writer create an exciting picture in the reader’s mind

3 Examples of Personification The tree stood straight and strong like an old warrior. The engine gasped and groaned, protesting against the cold night air. The telephone is ignoring me today. The raindrops danced on my roof.
