Objective, Functions & Driving Factors
Objective: Identify vulnerabilities that may threaten fielding, use, and operational effectiveness of systems and/or systems-of-systems 1. Provide Timely Mission Command and Tactical Intelligence COP Battle Space Owner (relevant) Realtime Situational Awareness Data Compression and Transfer Data Standard / Common Operational Environment Communications Sensor & Data Fusion Autonomy Data Dissemination Secure Communications Data Handling & Storage 2. Reduce Soldier Overburden Weight Volume Set Up User Interface Electronic Burden Trouble Shooting Training Ergonomics Integrated Capabilities Transport Multi-Functional Capabilities Logistics supportability Availability Sustainable Scalable Functionality Adaptability/Flexibility Customizable 3. Enhance Lethality and Accuracy Detecting Locating Targeting BDA Marking Identifying Target Discrimination Reduce collateral damage Reduced TLE / CAS HUMINT SIGINT STANO Devices 4. Increase Force Protection (Soldier/Vehicle/Base) Camouflage and Concealment Active Defense Counter Multi-Threats Cover from Direct /Indirect Fire Enhance Troop Movement VBIED / PEIED Perimeter Security ECP Expeditionary Power Long Range Surveillance Sense and Warn Assessment Criteria = System Performance plus… … Perceived Usefulness and Ease of Use Integration with CONOPS Robustness to Enemy TTPs Transportability Manpower Requirements Power and Energy Supportability Time to Assemble/ Disassemble Training Integrate-ability Ability to Scale 3

Project Name ART / TSOA (15-?)
Picture(s) of your technology. Include components, platform, support package with transportation. Project Information: POC and Contact Info: Company/Funding Source: EX-ART Focus: (Refer to “Functions” slide) Government Funded Program: (Y/N) Source of Funds / Name of Program: Have you Been to a TSOA before (Y/N) if yes, what has changed since you have attended? System Description: What is your system? Size, weight and power ? Do you have a common Data Format (ie. Cursor on Target/SEWIG/ RaptorX, ISA) Software (Y/N) Government owned or proprietary (INCLUDE sample in packet) Capabilities: What does your technology do? How does it do it ?

Ground Based Persistent Surveillance System ART / TSOA 15-3 (EXAMPLE ONLY)
Project Information: POC/Contact: John Smith; X-ART Focus: Increase FP, Enhance Lethality and Accuracy Government Funded Program: (Y/N): Yes Source of Funds / Name of Program: PM-GBPSS Have you Been to a TSOA before (Y/N); if yes, what has changed since that event: Yes; Enhanced Software Capabilities, COT Implementation, HD Sensors, Enhanced Usability, Alternative Energy Capabilities: The Ground Based Persistent Surveillance System (GBPSS) is a suite of COTS and GOTS stand-off detection and assessment sensors integrated to provide a “beyond-the-fence” multi-mission capability for RSTA and FP. The system utilizes Radar, UGS, and Shot Detection systems for detection of threats, Thermal and Day Sensors for assessment of targets, and LRFs and Laser Pointers for directing response forces and geo-location. Range performance is from fence line out to ~10+km. The system components are integrated onto a standard military trailer and utilizes a 6 meter mast to elevate the sensors for enhanced Situational Awareness (SA). Multiple systems are also networkable (hardwired/wireless) for a Common Operating Picture (COP) where multiple users can share data or a single operator can control multiple assets. System Description: What is your system? Trailer Based FP/Persistent Surveillance System used for the detection and assessment of potential threats. Size, Weight and Power: Military trailer (approx 165” x 86” x 72.5”) 3500lbs Curb Weight 24VDC system with on-board batteries, recharged by an on-board 3kW MEP-831A diesel generator, utility power, or solar power Do you have a common Data Format (ie. Cursor on Target/SEWIG): CoT capable, ICD-101, ICD-101A, XML, ISA Software (Y/N); Government owned or proprietary: Yes; Proprietary – C2 node is a single laptop hardwired or wirelessly linked to the trailer system
