1. Upcoming TIEDI ® OMB Changes Q&A Session Implementation date: March 31, 2015

2. Background  Every 3 years, the OPTN must resubmit the donor and transplant data collection forms to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval. As such, recommended changes from various OPTN committees have been considered and approved by the Board of Directors. In the current plan, TIEDI ® forms will be modified following OMB approval.

3. Background  The 2015 TIEDI form changes are scheduled to be implemented on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.  All new forms generated after Tuesday, March 31, 2015, and existing forms that are at an expected status on March 31, 2015, will require all data to be entered, including the new data fields that are added with this change, in order to validate the forms.

4. Background  Any existing forms that are already validated will remain validated.  If an existing form that is already validated is subsequently updated, the form will save all valid data, but the system will inform the user if any required new data fields are missing.

5. Please Note  There is no change to the existing form entry process with this implementation.

6. Please Note  We encourage those who enter data in TIEDI, to validate as many forms as they can with the existing format.  The 2015 changes are eliminating a majority of the optional fields that are on the forms.

7. Review Will form submission process policies change at all? No, there will only be changes to the fields and labels. All of the current data submission policies will still be in effect.

8. Review Will we get an extension or grace period on the due date to submit TIEDI forms? No, we encourage you to validate your institution’s expected forms prior to 3/31/2015. Reminder, all validated forms will remain validated, even though new fields will appear and old fields will be removed on 3/31/2015.

9. Review How will this impact existing forms in the system? All existing and new TIEDI® forms will look and behave according to the new 2015 changes. So, forms generated prior to 3/31/2015 will adhere to the new look and feel and abide by the new validation rules. All forms that are expected on or after 3/31/2015 will need to be completed with the new format.

10. Review When will screenshots or mock-ups of the Tiedi® forms be made available? Yes, draft versions are available to give you a preview of the changes.
