September 30, 2009 NCST Distance Learning Event 9 What Consumers are Saying: Fourth National Survey ……..Findings in Brief 47.9% rely on aging network transportation services for nearly all (29.5%), three-fourths (5.2%), or half (13.2%) of their transportation needs. 45.6% of riders describe themselves as “mobility impaired.” (no car, do not drive, do not live within ¾ mile of a fixed route stop)
