How to add test assignment 4 Test assignment must be added before a student can be assigned to a session When an incorrect test has been assigned to the student, the test assigned to the student may be changed by removing the incorrect test assignment and adding the correct assignment

How to delete test assignment 6 For students with incorrect Student Name or Student ID (entered via PreID upload), existing test assignments must be removed before new student record is created When an incorrect test form has been assigned to a student, the incorrect test assignment must be removed before correct test form can be assigned

Student test status 9 ReadyThe student has not started the test. ActiveThe student has logged in and started the test. ExitedThe student has exited the test but has not submitted his or her answers. (The student cannot resume the test unless authorized by the school assessment coordinator or the test administrator, if applicable.) ResumedThe student has been authorized to resume the test. Resumed-UploadThe student has been authorized to resume the test and any responses saved locally will be uploaded. CompletedThe student’s submitted test data have been processed. Marked Complete The student has exited the test and will not resume the same test. The test has been submitted for scoring. Click the Marked Complete icon to view the reason why the test was marked complete.

Resumed status 10 If a student exits the test session, the student’s test must be resumed in PearsonAccess before the student can continue testing For two-session tests, students will exit at the end of Session 1 and will need to be resumed prior to taking Session 2 of the test You cannot resume a student who has a Ready, Completed, or Marked Complete status Students in Active status can be resumed if they have trouble logging in (resuming a student in Active status will put him/her in Resumed-Upload status)

Resumed-Upload status 12 If the student has been authorized to resume the test, any responses saved locally will be uploaded when the student signs in If a response file cannot be found upon signing in, the skip upload option will be available The skip upload option should only be selected if the student has not yet completed any items If a student has completed items and the response file cannot be located, the school should contact Pearson for technical assistance

Submit & exit process 13 The process for submitting & exiting a test will vary depending on whether it is a one-session or two-session (FCAT 2.0) test If it is a two-session test, students will need to exit the test after Session 1 and submit the test after Session 2 It is important to closely follow the process for administering two-session tests from both a test management and session management perspective (see Session Management training for instructions on the session management process for two-session tests) Students should not submit the test until they are instructed to do so by the test administrator (per the respective script) Assist any students who need help exiting or submitting the test

Submit & exit process – One-session test 14 When students have finished testing, they should click the Go To button (if not already on the item review screen) and review the item review screen to make sure they have answered all questions After confirming they have answered all questions, students will click Submit

Submit & exit process – Two-session test (Session 1) 15 When students have finished testing Session 1, they should click the Go To button (if not already on the item review screen) and review the item review screen to make sure they have answered all questions After confirming they have answered all Session 1 questions, students will click Next Section

Submit & exit process – Two-session test (Session 2) 17 When students have finished testing on Session 2, they should click the Go To button (if not already on item review screen) and review the item review screen to make sure they have answered all questions After confirming they have answered all Session 2 questions, students will click Submit

Edit student data 18 Certain test assignment and demographic data may be changed in PearsonAccess either before or after testing Refer to the test administration manual for a list of fields that can be edited before testing and after testing To change test assignment details before testing, users will need to edit in the Assigned Tests tab within Student Registration To change test assignment details after testing, users can either 1) edit in the Assigned Tests tab within Student Registration, or 2) edit through the Session Details screen within Manage Test Sessions

Record accommodations 20 Administration accommodations for ESE/504 and ELL students must be recorded in PearsonAccess after students complete computer ‑ based test sessions Once the student’s test status displays as “Completed” or “Marked Complete,” you may record the accommodations used by editing ESE/504 and ELL accommodation types The fields must be edited by 4:00 p.m. (Eastern time) on the final day of testing for each subject Only the accommodations used should be recorded in PearsonAccess There are two ways to record accommodations in PearsonAccess: Through the Assigned Tests tab within Student Registration Through the Session Details screen within Manage Test Sessions
