Exercise 1 is an animated short story Background 1: A classroom, some pupils and a teacher Background 2: At home (kitchen) during lunch time. A family is sitting around the table Background 3: In the garden Instructions:( Pre lesson) Watch the story/Parakolouthise tin istoria Background 1. A boy is in the classroom with his teacher and classmates. One pupil takes his pencil. The following dialogue is going to take place in the story: Boy 1: I want my pencil. (in a rude manner) Teacher: Say please! Boy 1: I want my pencil …please ( the other pupil gives him his pencil back) Teacher: Say thank you! Boy 1: Thank you

Background 2: Now the scene takes place at home (the same boy takes part) Mum is serving lunch. The family is sitting around the kitchen table. Dialogue: (Boy 1 is the same figure as the one in background 1) Boy 1: I want my chips! (in a rude manner) Mum: Say please! Boy 1: I want my chips…. Please! (mum gives him a plate of chips) Mum: Say thank you! Boy1: Thank you Background 3: Outside in the garden. Boy 1 is playing with his little sister. He takes her ball. Sister: I want my ball (rude) Boy 1: Say please! Sister: I want my ball, please! (he gives the ball back) Boy 1: Say thank you Sister: Thank you! Boy1: Please, thank you are the magic words!

Exercise 2 Background: Any light colour. The objects mentioned on the cards can also be all spread on screen Instructions: Match/ Antistoixise tis fraseis me ta proswpa (reminder: The instructions are only written in English but they are given orally in both languages) There are 2 faces on screen. A rude face and a polite face. The faces should be big enough to show. Underneath there are some phrases (mixed up) in boxes. When the pupils go on a phrase with the cursor they should listen to what the phrase says in order to match it with the correct face {drag and drop}. The phrases are as follows: I want my teddy bear! I want my book, please! Thank you! I want my pen! I want my ball, please!
