What is Netiquette? Network Etiquette Network- a group of computers that can communicate through the Internet Etiquette- rules of ethical behavior according to contemporary and conventional standards.

Watch the language you use. You can be removed from social networking sites if they do not approve. Be careful how you word your posts; if it is worldwide, there can be language barriers from other countries. Don’t be wordy-brevity is more likely to hold the attention of readers. If you can, use acronyms. Private information-be careful where and how much personal information you post-be aware of who will be seeing it. Always obey copyright laws-if you don’t know-do a search for what is legal.

Emoticons are helpful in allowing readers to understand your attitude and emotion. Always be willing to help newbie's on a site-you were there once. Be aware of cyber bullying-report it to proper authorities. Don’t be offensive or rude-it can start flame wars and turn into bullying or worse. Check your spelling
