13 Capture of David II at Neville’s Cross outside Durham, 17 October 1346, after abandoned by Steward and earls of March and Ross.

14 Battle of Poitiers, France, Sept 1356 - capture of King John II of France, finally prompting Edward II to cash in on other captive, David II.

15 Anglo-Scottish Peace Treaty of Berwick 1357 - Ransom and hostages for release of David II - more binding than 1328 treaty? But leads to problems in Scotland where David tries to overawe magnates while seeking deal with England which might involve regnal union….
