3. E-Governance is based on Five principles. 1. More organized way of working – Well defined roles 2. Simplified way of working – Processes, levels, documents 3. Sustainable way of working – Not dependent on Individuals 4. 4. The process of Registration of Births and Deaths is one of the primary activities of the state and UT. The outputs of these activities is the issue of Birth certificate and Death certificate. NIC, Andaman state unit and DHS undertook a project in 2007-08 to computerize the registration process with the concept of “Services” delivery to stakeholders including Citizens, field offices, Head office of DHS, Other offices.
