8. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC Chapter/Training Center enrolls candidate instructor into NSC University Learning Management System - VILT IDC. – In late December the 2015 schedule will be on the National Training Calendar Candidate is shipped DDC 4 Candidate Instructor Certification Packet. – There is NO Universal Certification Form in this shipment

9. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC The candidate will be notified by NSC U LMS of the online registration data, phone numbers, codes, and passwords. The VILT IDC consists of three, three-hour modules: – Curriculum – Principles of DDC – Facilitation and Training

10. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC LMS will track the completion. Session 1 must be completed prior to beginning Session 2 etc. The candidate may wish to stretch the training over several months, as long as they complete in one full year from the date the training begins. (But not for the pilot)

11. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC Each virtual broadcast includes: – The instructor on screen for portions of the program. – Online interactions with the instructor and their peers through WebEx. – Group work online with their peers. – An exercise which must be completed prior to receiving a successful credit the session.

12. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC  When the candidate instructor completes all 3 sessions, NSC University will forward a Universal Certification Form which identifies the candidate instructor and the training center that registered him/her to that training center.  This form will have the IDC number and signature of the master trainer who conducted the VILT.

13. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC The Chapter or Training Center Will then monitor the two practice teaching classes for the candidate Require the candidate instructor to take any other training deemed necessary Decides when the person is qualified to teach and returns the signed UCF to NSC for processing

16. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC – PILOT Suggestions Have the candidate instructor take the VILT from your office. – This gives your DDC administrator and or instructor trainer the chance to “listen in”. – ONLY the person registered in the VILT IDC will get credit. But you or your people will learn just how it is being designed. – If you wish, after the program you can do an evaluation of the VILT for NSC University LMS.

17. congress.nsc.org DDC 4 VILT IDC – PILOT Currently, we have no plans to walk away from classroom IDCs in: DDC 4 DDC 8/6 DDC Alive at 25 DDC –ADD There is NO written Teaching DDC PTD. We may be able to reinstitute DDC PTD instructor certification but by VILT ONLY.

19. congress.nsc.org The Next Fifty Years The NEW 5 th edition of DDC Professional Truck Driver will debut in Atlanta at the 2015 Congress.

20. congress.nsc.org DDC PTD 5 th edition It will have the new modularly designed like DDC 4 and DDC ADD. It is teachable in 3 or 4 hours. There will be a training center agreement. It potentially will have instructor certification by VILT. Current noncertified instructors will become certified in a FREE three hour VILT training program.

30. congress.nsc.org DDC ADD 4 th edition The Reality Therapy / Choice Theory portion of the training contains the pertinent elements of Reality Therapy as designed by Dr. William Glasser with some new terms and easier to understand wording from the William Glasser Institute.
