Adverbs describe verbs. They tell how an action takes place. English adverbs ending in “ly” usually correspond to Spanish adverbs ending in “mente”.

To form this type of adverb in Spanish, follow these steps: Take the feminine form of an adjective. (if there is no gender-specfic form, use the singular form) Add “mente” to the end.
