2. Aims To understand how we can support our students with disabilities develop employability skills throughout their time at university, during their placement year and into employment.

3. Objectives Understand the impact of disability on graduate destinations. Discuss the university's responsibility Raise awareness of employability support services internally and externally Explore ideas for integrating disability issues within curriculum and placement preparation Understand more specific issues facing different student groups e.g. students with Asperger's Understand an employer's perspective and positive action strategies

4. DRC report ‘Disability Briefing 2005’ In autumn 2004 the overall employment rate for disabled people in Britain was 51% compared with 81% for non disabled people
