there is a lot of sediment that is washed into both the pacific and the Strait. Though the strait is vast in length the pacific is far superior to the strait.
3
what is the difference in beach profiles for the pacific and Strait of Juan de Fuca coast?
4
If we measure the beach profile at 2nd Beach on the Pacific Coast and Hollywood Beach on the Strait Coast, then we will find that Hollywood beach is being built onto since rivers are washing more and more sediment into the straits and the pacific is so vast that the sediment washes out causing the beach to erode.

1.Find the highest point on the beach that the water touches. 2.Place the Stadia rod on the edge of that point. (0 ft.) 3.2nd person with sight level measures out twenty feet towards the water. 4.2nd person takes height measurement through the sight level on Stadia rod and subtracts eye height then records on data sheet.

Data: Hollywood + 2 nd Beach
9
From the data collected above I can see if the beach is eroding if it is being added onto by sediment in the water. The data above shows me that second beach is slowly slopping down where as Hollywood beach is more of a drop off.
10
the data for second beach is showing that the beach is not eroding and that it is actually being built on to since it slowly drops towards the zero on the graph. Hollywood beach is showing that the beach starts to drop off and that it is eroding since the graph sharply drops to zero. Therefore my hypothesis was not supported and that my predicted results were flip flopped.
