MULTICRITERIA ANALYSIS RANKING potential landfill sites (7) using an appropriate software (Decision Lab) EVALUATION of potential landfill sites based on the Criteria set Calculation of the Q/P/W multicriteria matrix Optimum site for landfill construction (IIa) (IIb) (IIc) (II) (III) Landfill Allocation Process Criteria WEIGHTING Setting Exclusion Criteria (I)
4
I. Exclusion Criteria These exclusion criteria are minimum distance limits from specific land uses and places of interest Potential landfill sites should comply with all the exclusion criteria in order to proceed to the multi-criteria analysis otherwise they are excluded The software provides a list of 15 exclusion criteria but the user can add or remove one or more criteria
5
The limit distance below which the examined area is excluded Criterion ID from X1 – X15 Exclusion criteria are distances from specific land use or place of interest VIEW EXCLUSION CRITERIA
6
Selection of the examined area Inserting data for each examined area 15 Exclusion Criteria INSERTING DATA FOR EACH EXAMINED AREA
7
Shows only the examined areas that comply with the exclusion criteria Exclusion Criteria X1 to X15 CHECKING THE AREAS THAT COMPLY WITH THE EXCLUSION CRITERIA Data for each exclusion criterion of the examined areas that comply with the criteria
8
Setting the criterion ID e.g. X16, X17… X20 etc Setting the criterion Name e.g. The land use or place of interest that we want The limit distance below which the examined area is excluded ADDING A NEW CRITERION
