Belfast Castle ๑ The original Belfast Castle was built in the late 12 th century. ๑ The castle has a antiques shop, restaurant and visitors centre. ๑ It was burnt down in 1708. ๑ The new building was opened on the 11 th of November 1988.

Galgorm Castle ๑ The building of the castle started in 1618. ๑ The castle owns a 18 hole golf course. ๑ The In 1645 the castle bawns were complete. (bawns: large mud walls) ๑ The estate bustled with life, employing over thirty people in the house, garden stables and farm.

CarrickFergus Castle ๑ The castle is situated in the town of Carrick Fergus in county Antrim. ๑ The castle was built in 1177. ๑ During the 16 th and 17 th centuries there was a number of improvements. ๑ It was useful as ¾ of the perimeter is covered by water.

Dunluce Castle ๑ Dunluce castle has been a site of historic battles. ๑ The castle was built in the 17 th century. ๑ The castle is built 100 feet over water. ๑ Dunluce castle is a now-ruined medieval castle in Northern Ireland.

Stormont Castle ๑ Stormont castle is a baronial mansion on the Stormont estate in east Belfast. ๑ Between 1921 and 1972 it served as the official residence of the Prime minister of Northern Ireland. ๑ Stormont was built on land acquired in 1921. It was built by Stewart & Partners and opened by Edward Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII) on 16 November 1932.
