We endeavor to create a cooperative environment while providing many professional development opportunities. GIS in Higher Education through... developing a network of college GIS programs bringing together faculty and students across the state fostering research and development opportunities for faculty with members from other institutions, governmental agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and private companies facilitating student involvement both as a learning tool and as a means of connecting to future employers and graduate schools, showcasing faculty and student expertise through training opportunities in the form of webinars and pre-conference workshops. GIS in informal educational settings such as 4-H, Girls and Boys Club, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, among many others.
