Knowledge module (60 minutes)
Writing module (30 minutes)
Taken one after the other

3. Welcome Screen
On display before you start the test, the actual appearance in your test will be slightly different.
Warning! When you click on any “finish section” you cannot go back. Make sure you have answered all the questions.
Only click on “continue” when told to do so by the invigilator.

4. Candidate Details
Carefully complete this section with information about yourself, it cannot be changed later.
The invigilator will instruct you how to fill in the identification details and test location.
There may or may not be more fields, if there are the invigilator will instruct you how to fill them in.
Move the keyboard out of the way, only the mouse is needed until you reach the Writing module.
WAIT for the invigilator to check your details an only then click on “continue” when told to do so by the invigilator.

5. Knowledge Module Information
1 hour to complete the module.
5 sections, total 72 questions.
Remember, when you click on any “finish section” you cannot go back. Make sure you have answered all the questions.
Click on “continue” (screen bottom right ) to move forward in the test.

6. Example - Knowledge Section 1
Each section has an example screen showing the question format.
In section 1, click on the small black arrow next to the empty box, the click on the correct answer from the “drop down” list to complete the sentence.

7. Knowledge Section 1 There is a clock showing the test time left.
Each section has more than one question (18 in section 1) with the same number of tiles appear at the bottom of the screen. The current question’s tile is dark blue, answered questions’ tiles are light blue and unanswered questions’ tiles are light grey.
Click on the next tile or “continue” to move to the next question (and “back” to return to a previous question).

8. End of Knowledge Section 1
The test is now on the last question of section 1 (the tile is dark blue), the answered questions’ tiles are light blue and there are no unanswered questions.
You can go back and review your answers or click on “finish section” to move to the next section. When you do this you cannot come back to this section.

9. Knowledge Section 2
14 questions, two or three “drop down” boxes in each.
Again click on the correct answer for each to complete the sentence.

10. Knowledge Section 3 18 questions.
Decide which word in the list is closest in meaning to the one in bold in the sentence, then click on the correct answer.

11. Knowledge Section 4 11 questions.
Decide which word in the list is used most often with one in bold in the sentence, then click on the correct answer.

12. Knowledge Section 5 11 questions, 3 or 4 sentences in each question.
Decide if each sentence is correct English, then click on “right” or “wrong”.

13. Writing Module Information
1 writing section.
30 minutes.

14. Writing Section
Choose one of the two essay questions to answer, then type your answer in the box. You do not need to type the question.
Move the keyboard so you can use it comfortably, do not press the “special” keys (CTRL, ALT, Win etc.) only letters, numbers & symbols.
Do not click on “finish section” until you have completed your essay.

16. Note On Password Test Security
Password tests prevent cheating by detecting access to anything outside of the test. Such access is judged to be an attempt to cheat and the test is interrupted.
Tests run in “full screen” mode, so access to anything outside of the test can only happen if several keys are pressed at the same time (including the "Win" ( or ), the "Ctrl" ( ) or the "Alt" ( ) key).
You only need the keyboard to enter your candidate details at the beginning of the test, and during the writing module writing module if your test has one. ONLY use keyboard letters, numbers & symbols!
If you press these keys you risk having your test interrupted. A screen with the following message will appear:
If you see this message do not click on anything or use the keyboard. Alert the invigilator immediately and you MAY be allowed to restart your test.
