Aims Today you will: To discuss what it takes to become a market leader. To look at and use some phrases for dealing with questions. To receive some spoken feedback on your final presentation.

Questions Do you have precise profit and loss figures for that year? How do we plan to regain market leadership? I’d be interested to know how our improved performance will be reflected in salaries? How in fact, did we manage to win back business from the Japanese? You talked about quality, but you didn’t talk about product diversification. Why not? Why do you think you were slow to respond to the competition in the 1980’s? How does our current position compare with the situation in the 1980s?

Dealing with Questions - Practice Use the laptops to look at your partner’s assessed presentation. Can you write five questions to ask them. Then ask them and make notes on how they answer.
