2 Overview The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.) is comprised of two components – placement and diagnostic. The P.E.R.T. Placement is aligned with the Postsecondary Readiness Competencies which were approved by the State Board in Rule 6A-10.0318. The computer-based P.E.R.T. Placement was first launched in October 2010. The P.E.R.T. Diagnostics are aligned with the Developmental Education Competencies which were approved by the State Board in Rule 6A-10.0319. For each subject area, there are two P.E.R.T. Diagnostic tests to correspond to the developmental education courses.
