4. To add minutes :01 - :29to the hour: current hour  Use the current hour y + the number of minutes For example: 3:05 Son las tres y cinco. 3:10Son las tres y diez. 3:20Son las tres y veinte.

5. For half past the hour:  Use y media for half past the hour For example: 3:30Son las tres y media.

6. To add minutes :31 - :59: next hour  Use the next hour menos (or minus the minutes till the next hour) For example: tres 2:35Son las tres menos veinticinco. tres 2:50Son las tres menos diez.

7. To indicate a.m. or p.m.  Use:  de la mañana in the morning  de la tardein the afternoon  de la nocheat night
