Habitat Only in Australia In surrounding islands of Australia In Tasmania In Burroughs Eucalypt forests Costal shrub

Food and Hunting Eats grass, plants, roots, tree bark, and farm vegetables Wombat is a herbivore Does not prey on other animals Predators are dingoes, eagles, owls, foxes, cats, and Tasmanian devils

Nesting Behaviors and Raising Young Mother usually only has 1 baby The baby wombat lives in mothers pouch for 6-7 months after birth By age of 10 months young wombat leaves mothers care Wombats can live up too 26 years
