3 Last Updated 09/04/08 2 International Hall - Background Although International Hall was built in 1962, a major redevelopment and refurbishment programme was undertaken in 2003, and now houses up to 870 residents. The Hall aims to be an equal mix of postgraduate and undergraduate students, and male and female students. Approximately 60% of the Students are from overseas.

4 Last Updated 09/04/08 3 Summer Accommodation – Single Study Bedrooms The Hall has a total of 414 single study bedrooms which are available between 11 th June and 31 st August. The rooms contain a wash basin and vanity unit, however the bathroom and toilet facilities are shared between residents.

5 Last Updated 09/04/08 4 Room Rates – Single Study Bedrooms The room rate depends on your student status. Full-time University of London students - £23.00 per night (Room Only) or £28.00 per night (Half Board) UK based students and University of London staff - £29.50 (Room Only) or £34.50 per night (Half Board) Overseas students, visiting academics or researchers - £35.00 (Room Only) or £40.00 per night (Half Board)

6 Last Updated 09/04/08 5 Dates of Availability We will be able to take bookings of any length for stays between 11 th June and 31 st August subject to availability. Bookings may be extended to 9 th September at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a booking should contact the Hall to see if their desired period of stay is available.

7 Last Updated 09/04/08 6 Summer Accommodation - Double Studios There will be a limited number of double studios available for summer guests. Studios have ensuite shower and toilet and a double bed. Rates depend on your student status: UK based full-time students - £59.50 per night (Room Only) Overseas students, visiting academics or researchers - £70.00 per night (Room Only) Half board is available at a £5.00 per night supplement for single occupancy or £10.00 per night supplement for double occupancy.

9 Last Updated 09/04/08 8 Location International Hall is located on Lansdowne Terrace, around 150 metres from Russell Square Underground Station. It is a short 5 minute walk to the University Central Precinct, while also being within walking distance of many of the Colleges, as well as the major tourist attractions in London. Kings Cross and Euston Stations are within 10 minutes walk of the Hall.

11 Last Updated 09/04/08 10 Travel from Overseas (Suggested Routes) From Heathrow Airport Take London Underground (Piccadilly Line) from Heathrow to Russell Square. From Gatwick Airport Take Thameslink train to Kings Cross, then transfer to London Underground (Piccadilly Line) to Russell Square From Stansted Airport Take Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station, then transfer to London Underground (Central Line) to Holborn, then transfer to the Piccadilly Line to Russell Square.
