Time and Location March 5, 1770 The Customs House on King Street

What is it? A riot between the American colonists and the British soldiers over taxes Colonist were angry at the British for invading British shot 5 colonists and wounded 3

Why did this happen? British came to America to enforce the Townshend Act Colonist created a mob in front of Customs House (where the British soldiers were guarding)

American Colonist’s Side Did not want to pay taxes Didn’t want the British to control their homes
