3.  At Lexington the Redcoats got a surprise. 70 minutemen awaited their arrival. Unfortunately the British force was too strong and defeated them killing 8 Patriots.  Although while they tried to destroy the Patriots ammo the Patriots gathered more men and were able to defeat the Redcoats. “Stand your ground… if they mean to have a war, let it begin here!!” – Captain John Parker

4.  At Bunker Hill the British army won… but not without loosing 1,000 soldiers first. The Patriots ran out of ammo, but still put up a fight.

5.  The British won the battle.  Its important because they retreated!!

6.  The colonist won!!  Its important that the colonist won because no one thought that they would win but they did!!!!!!!!

7.  In October 1777 General Burgoyne surrendered the British Army.

8.  All I can say is that… WE WON!!! BEAT THAT BRITISH!! YAHOO!!!
