Invitation and Agenda for workshop Technology Workshop Tuesday, January 22nd, 11:10AM & 8:45PM Room 305 for ABE, GED & HSD In preparation for the new equipment being ordered, we are having PowerPoint and USB drive training. Each participant will create a slide and save it on the USB drive. The Team Editor will merge the slides into a presentation. The Team Presenter will give the presentation at the end of the workshop. Please complete the attached questionnaire. Please release your class at 11:05 AM or 8:45 PM

2. First Slide for workshop Here is the workshop project Participants create one slide –with 3 bullets –one picture –save it to the zip stick Give the zip stick to the Team Editor The Team Editor merges slides & give it to the Team Presenter, who will display the slide show out the LCD projector

3. PowerPoint made simple Double click the icon on the desktop Select a “Blank presentation” & press “OK” Select the text and clipart slide layout then press “OK”

4. Insert Picture Find “Insert” on the tool bar Pull down the menu Go to “Picture” Select “From file”

5. Find G Drive When the “Insert Picture” window opens, Pull down the list of drives Select G: drive your zip stick

6. Select Picture Press “Insert” Select Folder Double Click

8. Next Step: Text Know you have a picture it is time to enter 3 bullets Just click on the text field and start typing Then add a title When you click on the top text field and type the large font appears

10. The USB Zip Stick It is time to install the Zip Stick for storing and moving files An icon will appear in the lower right To eject the zip stick right click on the icon Select “Unplug or”

11. Removing USB Zip Stick In the next window select “USB Mass” Press “Stop” The machine will respond with “It is now safe to remove the device” Unplug device.
