SSCC takes custody within 4 hours Placement within 50 miles of home No more than 2 moves per placement Siblings placed together 2,400 youth annually (system capacity about 1,400) No eject/No reject referrals

Our approach. This project involves a culture change.
It’s a new way of doing this work, a new way of working together, and a new and better way of helping children. We do not want this to be seen as ACH getting bigger or more dominant. We want to present this as a new approach led by ACH that appreciates and engages providers, leverages existing resources, introduces new strategies, and becomes the community voice and leader for abused and neglected children. We think a new brand can best accomplish the culture change needed. Briefly discuss structure. Introduce Gary as President? Our approach.

DFPS and SSCC’s have different understandings of what should be included in the resource transfer. (pg. 12) Several tasks required of a SSCC were not funded. (pg. 13) Some resources for required tasks were not transferred to the SSCC’s or funded by DFPS (pg. 14) Additional financial resources are necessary to build and maintain operations of a SSCC (pg. 28)
