CF Card (Compact Flash) III. Handling the Cameras A limited number of our older cameras take CF Cards. You don’t have to bring one of these in. You can borrow these if you get an older camera that only takes a CF Card. I must insert and eject the CF Card in and out of the camera for you. There are small pins that can bend and make the camera inoperable!!!

V. Saving Photos 1.If you are following the rules and have your own SD card, you can leave your photos on there until you are ready to create your project, them upload them on to the computer. If you borrowed an SD card, then you need to download the pictures from the camera to the computer as soon as you finish taking pictures, because there is no guarantee those photos will be on that card tomorrow! 2.If your camera holds a CF card, take the camera to Mr. Cappotelli to remove the card and give it to you with a USB adapter. Plug the CF card into the USB adapter, then plug the USB adapter into the USB port on the back of the computer. 3.If your camera holds an SD card, insert the SD card into the built-in SD card read on the computer (either on the side under the CD drive, or on the back). Look! And be careful not to put your SD card in the CD drive slot. 4.Log in to the computer under Raider Media Net user setting. 5.Open finder 6.Look on your left under “devices.” 7.Look for the SD card device and click on it. Sometimes it’s called “no name.” 8.Look for the folder called “DCIM,” and open it. 9.Search through the folder and photos to find your pictures. Highlight your photos by dragging a box around them. 10.Open the Raider Media Net alias drive and find our folder within our class folder. Create a subfolder that is named specific to the project you’re working on. 11.Drag and drop your photos from the card folder into your alias folder. 12.Once the photos have copied to the alias completely, eject your SD card. 13.If you have a CF card, return it, along with the adapter to Mr. Cappotelli.
