Sing Their Praises Make a plan to highlight volunteers on a regular basis Everyone likes free stuff! Make everyone a cool kid

The 5 th Quarter Communicate regularly Move them through the ranks Engage them in succession planning

Be the Face You can’t light a fire with a wet match! Remember why your team/program is important Take time to stoke your own fire
