1. Current Activities on Urban Air Pollution in Cambodia

2. Institutional Framework
The role and responsibilities of Environmental Pollution Control Department are :
- To inventory that shown the sources, types, and quantity of solid and liquid wastes, toxic substances, hazardous substances, air, noise, and vibration.
- To arrange and carry out sub decree and equipment’s of laws in order to protect the environmental quality and control the pollution in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
- To record, make reports, and disseminate on the environmental quality including the situation of air , water, soil, and noise pollution for public.
- To research and to train on environmental quality protection,
- To manage environmental laboratory and the result of the analyzing of air, water, soil, toxic and hazardous waste, noise and vibration,
To promote the protection and maintenance of human health and the environment against air pollution many action plan are being applied:
-Stationary source monitoring (industrial sector): monitoring interval period include:
45 days for special factories; and
60 days for normal factories.
- Mobile source monitoring : Every vehicle must be have the certificate of emission before they get register.
