Summary of AVRDC activities  Innovative knowledge sharing (Work Package 4) – In-country and regional trainings were discussed and prioritized – Building networks and expanding the contact database for the regional and in country trainings in Southeast Asia were done through  the ASEAN-AVRDC Regional Network on Vegetable Research and Development (AARNET)  the participants and alumni of AVRDC’s International Vegetable Training Course (IVTC),  AVRDC’s website and Facebook site  AVRDC’s newsletter “FRESH”

International Vegetable Training Course (IVTC) Objectives:  Aimed at enhancing the technical, scientific, and managerial skills to contribute to sustainable development through increased production and consumption of health promoting vegetables.  Emphasized on advanced and sustainable vegetable production and postharvest technologies, farmers’ education, marketing and human health and nutrition.
