High student need and high percentage of students receiving Pell Grants. 9 Focused topics DCCCD Board of Trustees Compression Planning Session Increase our ability to respond rapidly to current and emerging workforce gaps through partnering with employers and other education providers, innovative approaches to instructional delivery, competency-based approaches, and aligning our programs and solutions with areas where jobs are going unfilled.

10 Address college and career readiness and increase college credits, certificates, and degrees for our younger students through expansion of early college high schools and charter schools and through preK-12 partnerships while creating pathways for seamless transition of DCCCD students to four-year colleges and universities.

11 Invest in contemporary software solutions that better serve our students, non-consumers, and employees

12 Build on increasing success in production of high value certificates, degrees, and successful transfers to four-year universities by creating innovative public/private partnerships for workforce and economic development opportunities.
